Free Traffic Vs. Paid Traffic
Absolutely the most important aspect of running a successful business online is driving traffic to your site. And not just any traffic. You want traffic that is laser targeted to your product, promotion or offer. So what is the best sort of traffic to get. Well really traffic that comes from both sources is always good, the main criteria is, is the traffic your getting converting into sales.
If you want a lot of traffic quickly, then the only way your going to get it, especially if your brand new to the affiliate game is to buy it. Sorry to disappoint you but that is the cold, hard facts. If you want fast, then you’ll have to pay. On the other side of the coin, you can generate a ton of traffic for free, but it’s going to take time. How much time do you have? How long are you prepared to wait, plus all the hard work your going to have to do to get that traffic, posting in forums, blogging, writing content for your website, solo ads, traffic exchanges, web directories, submitting to search engines etc, etc, etc. It could take six months to see your first sale.
Whereas with paid traffic you could start seeing results almost instantaneously. Which do you want? Of course most people are on a tight budget so your probably going to have to invest in paid advertising coupled with as much free traffic as you can generate. Plus you don’t want to be spending 12 hours a day just trying to drive free traffic to your site or product now do you? What is your time worth? And how good is the traffic your getting? You need to weigh it up. Theirs not much point trying to sell flowers fom New Zealand on Facebook if 90% of your audience are males and in the US. This is where tracking really works its magic and thats why we use and recommend Click Magick to track all our traffic, where its coming from and is it converting? The investment alone in this Magick Tool is worth it just so you don’t have to waste your time spending money & time in things that aren’t making money for you.
So lets look at the pro’s & con’s of Free Traffic Vs Paid Traffic and where to find the best sources for both. Remember tho, nothing is guaranteed. Solo ads are great, but you really have to know how to write good ad copy that converts, otherwise you could use the best traffic sources but still come out at a loss if you got crappy writing skills, in which case you could outsource this ‘vital’ job to someone who has the skill. Fiverr is a cheap way to find copywriters but just because they’re called Fiverr, don’t expect good copy to be that cheap. Often the sellers will sell a basic package for $5 and then have ‘better’ offers for a bit more.
If you want ready made then AffiloJetPack is a winner in that department as they have all the emails already written and ready to load into your autoresponder all on auto-pilot. But you didn’t think you were going to get that for free now did you? You can read more about that here.
I will continue to update this page with ‘Good’ traffic sources as we get to use them, filter out the crap and ‘Only’ show you what we use and recommend. That way you only invest your time or money or both into what works so your not just throwing your money away meaninglessly. For that reason alone you will find this list very small. I wish someone had shown me all these secrets when I first started. I would probably be about $30K better of right now, so I don’t want you to make the same mistakes. Learn from my mistakes so you don’t make them. Good or good?
We will dive into the subject of free traffic at a later date as there is a ton of info on the internet about sourcing free traffic. You can get a wealth of information in the classrooms inside the Four Percent Group, Wealthy Affiliate or the Affilorama Platform, but once we do, we will only show you the ‘best’ sources of free traffic you should be using. For now, we will just concentrate on using paid traffic as this is the quickest way to get traffic moving to your site. This will give you a good steady flow of traffic and will continue as you add content unless of course you’ve just got a squeeze page/landing page then your free traffic sources is going to be pretty limited. Either way in one way or another you end up paying for your traffic, either in cold hard cash or with your time.
Buying Leads
Not all traffic you pay for is going to convert. You may get sign-ups, opt-ins to your lists, but will they convert into buyers? No one can be sure and many times you end up with tons of leads but NO SALES and usually you can never tell until you’ve spent the money. And of course it also depends on what your offering. However there are a few sources that convert really well in comparision to other’s. Safelist’s and solo ads aren’t always your best bet, but don’t discount them completely. Sometimes you can find gems.
Here are a few I’ve personally used and can recommend, altho like with Udimi for example just because one seller doesn’t deliver well don’t make the assumption that they’re all like that. Do your homework before purchasing. At least with Udimi you can see what sort of results the sellers are giving to buyers.
Udimi is one of the best places online that you can search for buying solo ads that deliver results. Most sellers will over-deliver on clicks and will provide tracking services so you can keep an eye on the traffic being delivered. Most have money back guarantees, but as always, if your solo ad isn’t getting results, before you start blaming the seller you really need to make sure your ad copy is done right. You can check Udimi sellers for how many sales they have given, how many buyers have liked them, not liked them, how many refunds etc. Just like when you purchase anything, you should always check their credentials first. Some have lists of 200,000 or more with fresh leads coming in every day. Udimi is a great place to start with clicks as low as 35c per click, thats 100 unique visitors for $35. Check them out here or just click the banner below.
The Traffic Source is another place like Udimi that gives you good quality leads, tho they maybe out of the price range of a lot of beginners, if you can afford them they do have a ‘fresh’ bunch of prospective buyers. There are countless solo ad sellers that tell you they will get you 2,000 clicks, 500 Opt-ins for $99 or $50 deals because they know you don’t have much money to spend so they are basically ‘reeling’ you in with low prices, promising you the world, delivering the clicks but NO SALES. Then they offer you a free ad-blast in the form of a risk free guarantee if you don’t make a sale. Run a mile. They are usually robots clicking away at your link or worse still not even your link but their own masquerading as your link. That’s why they are so cheap, you may get the Opt-ins but no one is opening your letters, because they aren’t even real people. If you’ve ever bought into one of these deals you’ll know what I’m talking about. For ‘Real’ Clicks & Opt-ins your going to have to pay. Usually anywhere between $0.35c -$1.35 per click. Traffic Source is one of those places that will give you Real Traffic to your site. Check them out by clicking the banner below.
